Welcome to my blog!
In my dad’s words, I am chuffed to have you visit, so thank you 🙂
These birds were a gift from a very colourful friend. She matches the flowers in her confidence and outgoing nature – taking her energy wherever she goes
I painted Dad’s cottage over the top of collaged wine labels – I thought that was appropriate, given his love of wine. A little wagon sits outside the windows.
I’ll never forget those first wobbly steps my children took and how fast they took off after that. It’s the way with all of us. I just drew my child’s shoes!
Beth’s art group organised a summer picnic at Heide Park, complete with lots of yummy stuff and equal amounts of art materials. Thus the corrugated cows.
I painted the background to this page before my trip to France, but a quiet space in my parents’ garden in Queenscliff was just the right time to finish it
I can find it way too easy to spend my time worrying about what has been, or what might be, that I thought it would be good to remind myself of this moment.
The “angel” my daughter can sometimes be (as much as any teenager!) – with her precious dog in her arms. Mixed media painting inspired by Kelly Rae Roberts.
After visiting the Fred Williams exhibition with Beth’s art group I sat down and whipped this up. I was surprised how quickly it came together.
My take on Klimt’s portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer. I was inspired to get out my gold paints and sparkly stuff after visiting an exhibition with our art group
How wonderful is it when a friend comes in the door bearing flowers, and then you spend the day painting them, chatting and munching on yummy food?
