After many postponements due to Covid lockdowns, the opening of my exhibition at the Black Cat, 252 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, is ON for 4pm on Sunday 4 July 2021. Hooray!! I can feel that glass of cool bubbly in my hands now ….

If you are passing by please do drop in both to check out my sketches, and to support the amazing team at the Black Cat 🙂

Every piece was originally drawn on location over a number of weeks in Brunswick Street, and then painted with watercolour at home in my studio. Then the extended process of making each into a print that I was happy reflected the original, carrying out every step of the process myself right up to the framing. It really has been a labour of love.

Regardless of the on again, off again nature of event planning during a pandemic, it is still exciting, and a great excuse to get things finished and into frames. As a warm up my husband even painted our hallway orange for me and set up a gallery system so I could see my prints on the walls. Yes, I’ll be keeping him (the husband, that is).

Hope to see you there!
