Glorious summer days – and how spoilt am I?

Time to get away. Time to play with my paints and pens, and avoid the boring everyday jobs. I just love to leave all the mess at home – some might call it avoidance, while I call it a holiday!

I did this painting over the top of collaged wine labels – I thought that was appropriate, given my dad’s love of wine.

This is the old cottage at the back of his place. A little old wagon sits outside the windows. I wonder how many kids used to pull it along, or what it was used for?

The cottage is gorgeous in its imperfections – even the glass in the window panes has bumps and bubbles, showing its age. You wouldn’t be able to buy anything like that now.
